Quilty

This afternoon I hid from the heat and decided to sew my bits'n'pieces of super-cute Japanese fabric into a quilt top. I came to to the conclusion that my love affair with the sewing machine is over, as I can't say I really enjoyed the sewing part...but I pieced together most of the top. Next move is to actually put some batting in and back it. Apparently Franga spotty have red and white striped bias binding, so that will do for the edges. As with all my projects, watch this space though, as I might even finish it next year...

  1. I love it!!
If you are a corner cutter like moi....grab a second hand sheet for the back and turn it into a doona cover.
    Project done! ;)

  2. Very nice! I made one for my daughter a year ago entirely of pink fabric.

  3. Toni, you are my twin! I already have a brand new flat bedsheet (I never use them with my doona) that I have allocated for the backing.
Amy, mmm have you put pics up?

  4. Very cute! I love your embroidered pillowcases. The only thing on my crafting to-do list for this year is to embroider some things for myself / our house (I've always embroidered things to give away) and pillowcases are at the top of my list. It's fantastic how you didn't just embroider on the pillowcases' border.

Oh hello! I do like a wee comment, that way I know you exist!
Sorry I had to turn the ANNOYING word verification back on, but I've been getting too much spam lately. :(
